FOREST BIOMASS CONDITIONING AND HANDLING

FAST PYROLYSIS

A rapid thermochemical conversion process that uses high heating rates in the absence of oxygen to decompose organic material into liquid bio-oils, chemicals, gases, and other higher-value products.

A thermochemical conversion process that applies slower heating and longer residence times in the absence of oxygen to convert organic material, primarily into solid products such as biochar and biocarbon.
